I don't know what nura is. Is it dead skin cell mixed with dirt or only dirt? How does the word( nura) come into existence? Nura pakhang. Here it means female. Nura also means a piece of cloth used to clean/wipe floor(in kakching). Tone difference.

The outward pressure of out body is slightly greater than the atmospheric pressure (the pressure of the air around us on our body). As a result, the cells in the outer parts of the body--the skin--come further out. As the cells come out, the outermost cells stop receiving the necessary nutrient from blood and die out. These dead cells accumulate on the skin and become what we call grit or grime (nura). This biological process goes on as long as we live, you will see grit/grime accumulating on your skin even when you confine yourself in a glass room for two or three days after taking a good bath. If you do not live in a glass house, dust will also accumulate on your skin the way dust settles down on any surface and it mixes with the dead cells (grit/grime) and the oil secreted by our sebaceous glands.
The nùra of dead cells is pronounced differently from the núra of both núra pukhang and the núra meaning mop, the latter being pronounced the same. I don't how the nura of grit/grime was created. I came across its use in the Malem Leishemlon Ariba puya. I don't know if it has anything to do with the root nu in nu-pa and nu-pi. I don't know if -ra is a morpheme or not.

At the moment, I think the nura in nura pakhang may be sharing the root nu with nupa and nupi. nu means human, and -pa and -pi, as we already know, are male and female gender markers respectively. That said, I have not clue yet as to what ra in nura (in nura pakhang) can probably mean.
We have yet to read old texts. Only a handful of dedicated persons cannot do this. Forget about one person.
